The Christmas window displays of Parisian department stores in 2026
Every year since 1909, Paris’s grand department stores have come alive as Christmas approaches.
From November 5, 2026, to January 3, 2027, the display windows along the Grands Boulevards will feature fantastical characters all of which you can admire for free from the sidewalk.
This complimentary spectacle is one of the capital’s essential, enchanting holiday traditions.
Whether you are visiting as a couple, with your family, or on your own, come and take in the displays after dark or visit in the morning to avoid the crowds!
Each year, the unveiling of the Christmas window displays in Paris is a must-see event.
With lively displays, parades, and appearances by celebrities, every store pulls out all the stops, using boundless imagination to make the capital sparkle.
For the 2026 season, fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has created a "pop" fairy tale, filling the windows of the Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann with fantastical characters.
